RIC Ramp Safety Advisory – YIELD TO AIRCRAFT markings installed

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM RIC AIRPORT OPERATIONS.
SUBJECT: Yield to aircraft markings installed on Cargo Ramp service road
Yield to aircraft surface painted markings have been installed on the vehicle service road (VSR) that connects the Terminal Ramp and the Cargo Ramp at Gate 60. The road crosses an active taxi-lane near Gates B14/15 and Taxiway Tango to and from the Cargo Ramp. Drivers must slow, look both directions and ensure that there are no aircraft taxiing in the vicinity. If aircraft are present and are either using the taxi-lane/taxiway or appear to be heading in the direction of the road then drivers must stop and give way to the aircraft.
